In November 2023 Makers Circle collaborated with the team over at Stitches and Hos to host a Knitwear Mending Class during their pop up shop at The Great Western Arcade, Birmingham. 

 

The session was led by Makers Circle Annette Ratti who guided the participants through the intricacies of knitwear mending- teaching the participants useful techniques as well as some something a little bit more creative through different embroidery techniques.

By the end of the session the participants said goodbye to their pesky holes and snags as they discovered how to mend their beloved sweaters and jumpers through the sustainable practice of mending. The art of mending results in the reduction of waste and contributes to a more sustainable future.
