About Us

Makers Circle offers welcoming spaces where artists, makers, and community members can come together to learn, share, and create.

As a nonprofit organisation, we are dedicated to giving back to the community through initiatives such as community projects, workshops, and installations.

We invite visitors to explore the projects, participate in workshops, and discover everything Makers Circle has to offer.

Our mission is to provide opportunities for the community to explore and express their creativity through textile and art workshops. Our circle consists of experienced artists and educators who are passionate about making art accessible to all.

Our Creative Team

Annette Ratti

Co-Founder & Creative Artist

Annette, an award-winning artist recognised at the Hand & Lock Prize 2024, has spent years creating embroidery designs for the fashion industry. Through this experience, she became deeply aware of fast fashion's environmental impact.

Now, she is dedicated to helping others explore their creativity in a sustainable way. By teaching and reviving stitch craft techniques, many nearly forgotten, Annette inspires people to reconnect with the joy of making. Her workshops focus on repurposing materials and clothing, blending sustainability with artistic expression.

Intrigued by print, embroidery, and mixed media, Tia creates textured and visually stimulating textile pieces inspired by nature.

Her work explores stories relating to the natural world and the direct correlation this has on communities and thus the well- being of others.

Through combining the two, Tia believes in the importance, upkeep, and teaching of textile practices through communal art.

Across visual narratives and imagery, Tia endeavour to design and make whilst teaching her practice.

Our Makers

Working with us on projects are a group of very talented West Midland based Artists.
